In Te Ngahere this term we have been learning how to read a short book in Te Reo Maori. The book was called Nga Mahi Parekareka kei te Marae. I was good at pronouncing the words in Te Reo when I knew how they sounded. Saying all the words in a sentence was hard because it was hard remembering all of the sounds that the letters make. Some of the words that I found easy to say are: nga, Tamariki, ratou, ako and haka. Some of the words that I found hard to say were: Kaimakamaka, mahi, rehia and potaka.
Can you speak Te Reo?
